Can you clean cork? And if so, how?
This is a question we get asked often. YES you can! And it's super EASY too!
Over time and with repeated use, your Corker bag, purse or wallet may need a "little" freshen up. Follow our expert guide on how to ensure your Corker item looks as great as the day you purchased it!
Items you will need.
2 x Reusable soft cloth
Soft toothbrush (optional)
1) Dampen a reusable soft cloth (choose a soft cloth to avoid scratching your item) with warm water and one or two drops of soap (eco soap is our fav) but any regular gentle soap you have at home will do just fine. And here we repeat again...less is more. One or two drops of soap is the perfect amount. No need for a bubble bath (haa haa)!
2) Gently rub your purse or bag in small circles, paying particular attention to any areas that are visibly dirty. Go easy, no need to scrub! Note cork bags or purses do not need to swim....so no need to submerge or overly wet your product.
3) If you have a stubborn mark, then its time to bring out the tool kit...well the toothbrush to be exact! Dampen the toothbrush and using a circular motion gently rub the stained area. This should lift the mark.
4) Dry your bag with a clean cloth instead of rinsing it. If there is any remaining moisture after cleaning, allow your cork purse/bag to completely air dry. Do not use a hairdryer or other similar heat source.
